You can search for students in PowerSchool & export data using field names but there are also built inquiries and functions in PowerSchool to assist with searches and exports.

Students not in a period
Format: *not_enrolled_in_period=1
Result: All students not enrolled in period 1

Students in a Course
Format: *enrolled_in=9500
Result: All students in course number 9500

Students in a Specific Section
Format: *enrolled_in=9500.5
Result: All students in section 5 of course number 9500

Students not in a Course
Format: *not_enrolled_in=9500
Result: Students not enrolled in course number 9500

Students who have completed a course
Format: *has_completed_course=9500
Result: All students that have at least one entry of course number 9500 on the historical grades screen

Students who have not completed a course
Format: *has_not_completed_course=9500
Result: All students that do not have any entries of course number 9500 on the historical grades screen

Requested credit hours
Format: *hours_requested<10
Result: Students who have requested more than 10 credit hours
