Resource Management

Resource management has been added to PowerSchool. Resource Management provides the ability to add resources to various courses. This will allow a real-time resources counts for the year. The resource counts are based on student enrollments.

Resources can be assigned by student, teacher, section, or to a school.

Initially, resources can be imported by IT.

By Student

Assigning a resource by student means that each student enrolled in the class will be getting a resource. This will count each student and add that to the total. Resources by student can be assigned at the course or section level.

• If the resource is assigned by course, then the school checkboxes will appear.
• If the resource is assigned by section, then each school will have to be entered individually.

USAGE CASE: A book every student in the class needs.

By Teacher

Assigning a resource by teacher means that each teacher of the course receives one resource per course regardless of how many sections the teacher has of that course.

• If the resource is assigned by course then, the school checkboxes will appear.
• If the resource is assign by teacher, then each teacher will have to be entered individually.

USAGE CASE: A teacher edition of a book.

By Section

Assigning a resource by section means that each section will receive its own resource.

• If the resource is assigned by course then, the school checkboxes will appear.
• If the resource is assigned by section, then each school will have to be entered individually.

USAGE CASE: Supplies for a FaCS or a woodworking class.

By Course

Assigning a resource by course means that there is one resource for either the entire district or one resource for each school running the course. This is only available by school/district.

USAGE CASE: Relan lab for a Spanish classes. AutoCad software.
