Activating Pre-registered Students on the Same Day

Normally pre-registered students are flipped to active automatically by an overnight process that activates all pre-registered students with an enrollment date on the following day.
However, at times the school may not receive notification that a pre-registered student is starting early until the day the student arrives for class.  A data specialist may set the pre-registered students enrollment date to the current date. Keep in mind that the student will not be flipped to active since that is done by the overnight process.
Once the enrollment date is set, the data specialist must submit a Web Help Desk ticket to technology to have the student manually activated in PowerSchool.
