Entry Comments Guide

When a student enters or re-enters a school the Data Specialist/registrar must input specific entry comments. The following is a guide to how those comments should be formatted.

If it’s a new student:

New. Previous school:____________________; City, State

New.  New Beginnings. Previous school: ________________; City, State

If it’s a transfer student from one of the other Glenbard schools:

New. Transferred from_______________(North, South, East, West) – written out OR

New. TFN, TFS, TFE, TFW – abbreviated

New.  New Beginnings. Transferred from ______________ (North, South, East, West) – written out OR

New. New Beginnings. TFN, TFS, TFE, TFW – abbreviated

Re-entered. Transferred from _____________(North, South, East, West) – written out

OR

Re-entered. TFN, TFS, TFE, TFW – abbreviated

If it’s a returning student:

Re-entered. Previous school:_____________; City, State

If it’s a returning student that didn’t attend another school (ie: non-grad, dropped out):

Re-entered.

If District Office inactivates a student then reactivates due to off campus:

Attending Glenwood Academy

Attending Glenbard East fulltime

Do we want Colleen to follow the same rules? Will “Attending” at the beginning be enough?

If a student has 2 ID#s:

DNE. Has 2 ID#s: East’s #1141590 and North’s # 3141740. Inactivated East’s. Transferred the other ID to North’s Guided Program

OR

Has 2 IDs. This one is wrong. Correct ID is 1112733
