Lunch intervention is the effort to help struggling students, by giving those students resource time during lunch. Students will have to spend half of their lunch periods receiving a resource to help them. The resource can range for quiet time to finish homework to specific subject instructions.
Students are identified by a report in PowerSchool called Lunch Intervention Failures. This report wil display each student currently failuring or have an incomplete and the teachers’ comments for that class. Teachers with failing students will create and maintain a comments in the grade book to help administrators decide which resource is appropriate.
To help in the aid of tracking students lunch intervention attendance, there has been a function created to enable scanning of id’s to capture attendance. A comlimentary report has been created for deans to view daily lunch intervention attendance and help identify students that missed a lunch resource.

This report identifies students that are have a failing and/or Incomplete grades. This report will aid in determining which student should be in a lunch intervention and how they should spend the resource time. The teacher comment will help guide administrators in deciding
This report is used to check up on students in lunch intervention. It will help identify students that still have failing/incomplete grades. This report will only display currently marked students
This function allows for the proctor of the lunch interventions to scan student id’s and submit the proper attendance. This function will for with any scanner that can scan an id and “push enter” immediately after
This is a daily report to show whether a student was in resource or not. Students with a Resource (RES) mark are present any other mark means they were not. This will display students that are mark lunch intervention
IMPORTANT:This will only work for the current day. It must be run at the end of everyday.
Resource Attendance Report
Teacher Red Exclamation Mark
When a teacher logs into the PowerTeacher a red exclamation point will appear next to sections where a student is failing and a resource comment has not been entered.
This function will notify students and parents of students that have been marked in PowerSchool to attended lunch intervention via phone and email. There is also an option to send assigment charts in the email
