This is very useful for when data needs to be export the same way consistently each time such as when exporting into another system.<\/p>\n<p>Exporting using a template can be used with either current selection or the entire school\/district.<span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"how-to-export-using-a-template\">How to Export using a Template<\/h1>\n<ol>\n<li>Create a selection of students\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li>If exporting the the entire school\/district select\u00a0<strong>All<\/strong> from the start page<\/li>\n<li>Remember that during the year there are incoming students in the system as well. \u00a0These students are active and will be select if the\u00a0<strong>All<\/strong> link is used.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Select Export using template\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li>if using a selection Choose\u00a0<strong>Export using Template<\/strong> from the drop down<\/li>\n<li>If there is no drop down, Select <b>Special Functions<\/b>&gt;<strong>Importing &amp; Exporting<\/strong>&gt;<strong>Exporting Using Template<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Select\u00a0<strong>Students<\/strong> from the first dropdown<\/li>\n<li>Select the need template<\/li>\n<li>Choose whether to export a single student or the current selection<\/li>\n<li>Open in Excel (click <a href=\"index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=72:exporting-from-powerschool-to-excel&amp;catid=59:powerschool-tips&amp;Itemid=170\">here<\/a> for more help)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PowerSchool can export data for students using a set template.
