This can be done through email or an authenticator application.  If you only have Skyward for Employee Access, this will not impact you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Logging In With an Email Code<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>1) Login to Skyward using your username and password as normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2) Note: You will not encounter the screen in this step if you have not configured an authenticator app as an option for your 2FA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A screen will appear asking how you would like to authenticate.  Choose <strong>Email A Code<\/strong> from the drop-down and click <strong>Submit MFA Request<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"894\" height=\"384\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/MFARequest.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6180\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>3) Another screen will appear prompting for a security code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"350\" height=\"235\" class=\"wp-image-6159\" style=\"width: 350px;\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Enter-Multifactor-Authentication-Code-2022-07-14-12-25-06.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4) Go to your email. [Either your work email or if you do not have a  Glenbard.org email address, it will go to the email HR has onfile.]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5) Open the email titled Skyward Security Code and copy the code midway down the email.  [<strong>Important: This code is only good for 15 minutes.<\/strong>]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"120\" class=\"wp-image-6160\" style=\"width: 400px;\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Email-Code.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6) Enter the code from the email and check the box marked <strong>Trust This Device<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7) Click <strong>Sign-In<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are now signed into Skyward.  As long as you clicked the Trust This Device checkbox, you will not need to re-authenticate to this device for a period of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Logging In With an Authenticator App<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>1) Login to Skyward using your username and password as normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2) A screen will appear asking how you would like to authenticate. As long as you clicked the Trust This Device checkbox, you will not need to re-authenticate to this device for a period of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Changing Your 2FA to Use an Authenticator App<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>1) First login using an email code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2) At the top, click your name and then <strong>User Preferences<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3) Click <strong>Add Device <\/strong>next to the line titled <strong>Authenticator App Device Set<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"239\" class=\"wp-image-6162\" style=\"width: 400px;\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/User-Preference-DetailsApp.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4) The next screen that appears requires your username and password.  Enter your <strong>Username<\/strong> and <strong>Password<\/strong> and click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5) Open an authenticator app such as &#8220;Authenticator&#8221; by Google.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">If you do not have Google Authenticator you can download it here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/google-authenticator\/id388497605\">Apple App Store<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.google.android.apps.authenticator2&amp;hl=en_US&amp;gl=US\">Google Play Store<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6) For Google Authenticator, click the plus (+) button in the lower-right.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"356\" height=\"330\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/GooglePlus.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6177\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>7) For Google Authenticator, click the button that looks like a camera with the words <strong>Scan a QR Code<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"934\" height=\"440\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/AuthScan.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6176\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>8) Your camera will pop up with a yellow box.  Hold the yellow box over the QR code on screen in Skyward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9) You will now see a line on your app titled &#8220;Skyward (xxxxxx)&#8221; with your username in place of the x&#8217;s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10) Put the 6 digit code into Step 3 on the Skyward page and click <strong>Submit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1672\" height=\"1404\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Code.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6175\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1485\" height=\"1330\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/QR-Code.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6185\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>11) You should see a page like this with a green success message a listing of your trusted devices.
