A section represents each instance of a course being taught during a year. New sections are typically added to accommodate a high volume of student course requests.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click on <strong>School<\/strong> under <strong>Setup<\/strong> from the navigation menu.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Sections<\/strong> under the School Setup menu.<\/li>\n<li>The navigation menu on the left side will change to a list of the school&#8217;s courses.\u00a0 Click on the course that you will be adjusting.<\/li>\n<li>Make note of the highest number section ID used in this table.\u00a0 This number will be needed in step 6.<\/li>\n<li>To create a new section, click on the <strong>New<\/strong> button at the top of the page.<\/li>\n<li>You must fill in the following fields (highlighted in blue in the screenshot):\n<ol>\n<li>Term &#8211; Both semester courses and year long courses need their term set to a single semester.\u00a0 Year long courses will have separate sections per semester.<\/li>\n<li>Schedule &#8211; Select the period that the section will be held<\/li>\n<li>Teacher<\/li>\n<li>Room<\/li>\n<li>Section Number &#8211; This number must be unique.
