{"id":5777,"date":"2022-04-07T10:49:10","date_gmt":"2022-04-07T15:49:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/?p=5777"},"modified":"2022-04-07T10:49:10","modified_gmt":"2022-04-07T15:49:10","slug":"id-machine-download","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/technology\/id-machine-download\/","title":{"rendered":"ID Machine Download"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"nolwrap\">\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Make a folder on the desktop called I<strong>D Pics &lt;year&gt; Semester 1 <\/strong> (Or appropriate for the time frame you are working with.)<\/li><li> Open the <strong>I-Depot<\/strong> software (ID software)<\/li><li> Click on the <strong>File<\/strong> menu <\/li><li> Hover over <strong>Administrator CD<\/strong><\/li><li> Click <strong>Export<\/strong><\/li><li> The <strong>Export Type<\/strong> should be set as <strong>24 bit JPEG\/ID Name<\/strong><\/li><li> <strong>Link<\/strong> by Subject ID (Can\u2019t change) <\/li><li> Export Options <ol><li> For Full List\u2014<strong> Export all <\/strong><\/li><li> For Individual Student (Needs to be previously marked for export) select <strong>Marked for Export <\/strong><\/li><\/ol><\/li><li><strong>IMPORTANT-<\/strong>&#8211; Click on <strong>Advanced <\/strong><\/li><li>Leave all settings in the new window the same except for the <strong>Base Directory<\/strong>. This is where you will select the folder created in step 1 <\/li><li>Click <strong>Change<\/strong> next to <strong>Base Directory <\/strong><\/li><li>Navigate to the folder you created in step 1 <\/li><li>Double click to select it and then Click <strong>Open<\/strong><ol><li>The base directory window will now show the path to your folder<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li> Click <strong>OK <\/strong>to start the run <ol><li> The Pop Up Window will begin scrolling through the exports. This takes time to export<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li> When complete you will see a small pop up report of number exported and number skipped. <ol><li>It is hard to tell why items were skipped or even which ones were skipped.  Usually there is no student ID number, like for staff members. <\/li><\/ol><\/li><li> Open the folder you made on the desktop from step 1 <ol><li> Inside you should see a folder called <strong>PHOTOS <\/strong>that has been created <\/li><li>Inside the <strong>PHOTOS <\/strong>folder you should see all the ID picture files <\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>Open <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/\"><strong>Google Drive<\/strong><\/a> <\/li><li>Create a Folder called <strong>ID Pics &lt;year&gt; Semester 1<\/strong> (Or appropriate for the time frame you are working with.) <\/li><li>Share the Folder with John Jameson <\/li><li>When the pictures are all loaded into the local desktop folder, drag\/upload the folder into the shared google folder. <ol><li>Alternatively, you can simply drag your folder from the desktop into Drive first and then share that folder with John Jameson after it has uploaded. <\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NOTE<\/strong>: The upload to Google Drive takes time. You will need to leave this upload running for 10-15 minutes to capture all of the files.
