When adding many scores, importing is the best method, but takes time and care. Adding one off or adjusting scores can be done though the manual method.<\/p>\n<h1 id=\"manually-adding-test-scores\">Manually Adding Test Scores<\/h1>\n<ol>\n<li>Log into PowerSchool Administrator<\/li>\n<li>Select the student<\/li>\n<li>Click on\u00a0<strong>Test Results<\/strong>\u00a0from the left menu<\/li>\n<li>Select the test the scores are a part of<\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Submit<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Enter the date of the test\n<ul>\n<li>For test dates other then MAP and AP tests, the actual test date can be used.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">The test dates for MAP must be one of the below where YYYY is the four digit year\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>For Fall \u00a0 \u00a0 10\/01\/YYYY<\/li>\n<li>For Winter 01\/01\/YYYY<\/li>\n<li>For Spring 05\/01\/YYYY<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>For AP Tests use 05\/01\/YYYY<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Enter the semester it was taken<\/li>\n<li>Enter the grade level of the student at the time the test was taken<\/li>\n<li>The next screen will show all the possible scores available<\/li>\n<li>Enter the score in the <b>Numeric\u00a0<\/b>column that corresponds to that score\n<ul>\n<li>Do not enter information in the Alpha and Percent columns<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h1 id=\"importing-scores\">Importing Scores<\/h1>\n<p>Importing test scores is different then a normal import. \u00a0For each test, one of the below templates must be used. \u00a0Also once a test is imported, test scores cannot be add, updated, or changes via an import; they must be done by hand, manually. \u00a0The import templates are to be opened using Excel<\/p>\n<p>Importing scores is a two step process. Step one is enter the data into the proper template below. \u00a0Step two is to send the template to the school data personal, who can then import the data. \u00a0If the data is not enter correctly in step one, the data personal are not responsible for data being importing incorrectly.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"using-the-import-template\">Using the Import Template<\/h3>\n<p>The staff member in charge of creating the file to be imported into PowerSchool must use the appropriate template below.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Decide which test will be imported<\/li>\n<li>Download the appropriate template below<\/li>\n<li>Open the template in Excel\n<ul>\n<li>For more information on opening the template in Excel Please go here\u00a0<a href=\"index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=72:exporting-from-powerschool-to-excel&amp;catid=59:powerschool-tips&amp;Itemid=170\">Opening File in Excel<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>All fields in the template are required\n<ul>\n<li>If a score is unavailable, leave that score empty. \u00a0Do not enter a zero or anything<\/li>\n<li>For test finished, create a Web Help Desk ticket with the attachment with the problem type of student data request\n<ul>\n<li>Remember that once scores are imported the only way to change, update, or delete scores is by individual students manually<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 id=\"importing-test-score\">Importing Test Score<\/h3>\n<p>In the building, only data personal are allowed to import data into PowerSchool. \u00a0Test scores follow a similar process to import test scores are import demographics. \u00a0The only difference is that there is one more step involved. \u00a0As with every import into PowerSchool, always either test the import on the test server or import only the first several line, check the import, and then import the remainder of the file<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Review the file and verify that everything is filled in properly\n<ul>\n<li>If the file is incorrect, notify the person creating the file that something is out of place. \u00a0Be specific.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Log into PowerSchool<\/li>\n<li>Click on\u00a0<strong>Special Function<\/strong>&gt;<strong>Importing &amp; Exporting<\/strong>&gt;<strong>Quick Import<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>For\u00a0<strong>Table<\/strong> choose\u00a0<strong>Test Results<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Choose the file<\/li>\n<li>Check the checkbox\u00a0<strong>Suggest field
