The phone will not work without configuration changes to allow external network access.<br><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/technology\/cisco-phones\/setting-up-wifi-on-a-cisco-8861-phone\/\">https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/technology\/cisco-phones\/setting-up-wifi-on-a-cisco-8861-phone\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When taking home a Glenbard issued Cisco 8861 phone, you first need to reset the service mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Go to <strong>Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_0366.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4880\" width=\"357\" height=\"476\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Click <strong>Admin Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_0367.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4882\" width=\"359\" height=\"479\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Click <strong>Reset Settings<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_0368.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4883\" width=\"362\" height=\"483\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Click<strong> Service Mode<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_0369.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4884\" width=\"362\" height=\"483\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Click <strong>Reset <\/strong>and then the phone will reboot<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_0370.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4873\" width=\"370\" height=\"277\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After the phone reboots, you are now able to proceed with the login information<br><br>1. On the <strong>Welcome <\/strong>window, enter <strong>glenbard.org<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_0362.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4885\" width=\"383\" height=\"287\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>2. On the <strong>Sign In<\/strong> page, enter your <strong>PowerSchool <\/strong>credentials<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IMG_0364.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4886\" width=\"387\" height=\"290\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The phone will take a short time to register. <br><br><strong>Note<\/strong>: The phone will act like a regular desk phone when the setup is complete. If making an external phone call, you need to start with a &#8220;7&#8221; before entering the rest of the phone number<br><br>When bringing the phone back to Glenbard, you need to reset the Service Mode again. Follow the same steps above.
