{"id":4681,"date":"2020-03-25T08:06:10","date_gmt":"2020-03-25T13:06:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/?p=4681"},"modified":"2021-09-10T08:34:22","modified_gmt":"2021-09-10T13:34:22","slug":"business-office-void-reissue-checks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/technology\/skyward\/business-office\/business-office-void-reissue-checks\/","title":{"rendered":"Business Office: Void\/Reissue Checks"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"nolwrap\">\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Void a Check<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If a check should not have been written or needs changes and will need to be re-written, a check can be voided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Go to <strong>Accounts Payable<\/strong> > <strong>Void Accounts Payable Run<\/strong><\/li><li>Click <strong>Add Void Accounts Payable Run<\/strong> near the upper-right.<\/li><li>Fill in all fields and uncheck Will Create ACH<\/li><li>Click <strong>Save &amp; Select Void Checks<\/strong><\/li><li>Check the check(s) to be voided.<\/li><li>Click<strong> Save &amp; Update Invoices<\/strong><\/li><li>Click <strong>Next<\/strong>, click <strong>Next<\/strong>, click <strong>Next<\/strong>, and click <strong>Run Process<\/strong><\/li><li>Click <strong>Accounting Register<\/strong> and click <strong>Close<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Click <strong>Accounts Payable Update<\/strong> and click <strong>Run Process<\/strong> and <strong>Close<\/strong>.<\/li><li>If the voided check needs to be reissued, follow these steps:<ol><li>In the Void Accounts Payable Run, click the <strong>Check Transactions<\/strong> tab on the left.<\/li><li>Click the down-arrow next to the check that needs to be reissued.<\/li><li>Click <strong>Recreate Invoices<\/strong>.<\/li><li>After processing the recreate process, the new invoice will be in Unsubmitted status in the Invoice List.  You can make any necessary changes prior to saving the invoice for payment.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reissuing Checks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If a check was lost in the mail and just needs to be reissued, there is no need to reverse accounting and reenter the accounting.  The check can be reissued with a new check number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Go to <strong>Accounts Payable<\/strong><\/li><li>Click <strong>Reissue Accounts Payable<\/strong> under <strong>Utilities<\/strong><\/li><li>Select the AP run that the check is a part of.<\/li><li>Choose <strong>Individual Select<\/strong><\/li><li>Choose <strong>Reissue with New Check Number<\/strong><\/li><li>If the date check date needs to be changed, use the <strong>Check Date Override<\/strong> otherwise set that date to the original date of the check.<\/li><li>Click <strong>Next<\/strong><\/li><li>Select the check(s) and click <strong>Next<\/strong><\/li><li>Click <strong>Next<\/strong> and <strong>Print Checks<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Void a Check If a check should not have been [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[17],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-4681","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-business-office"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/4681","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/5"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=4681"}],"version-history":[{"count":5,"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/4681\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":5790,"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/4681\/revisions\/5790"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4681"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=4681"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=4681"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
