{"id":456,"date":"2012-12-19T13:33:47","date_gmt":"2012-12-19T13:33:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psws.glenbard.org\/index.php\/2012\/12\/19\/parent-needs-to-add-a-new-student-to-his-her-account\/"},"modified":"2016-02-04T14:28:30","modified_gmt":"2016-02-04T20:28:30","slug":"parent-needs-to-add-a-new-student-to-his-her-account","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/ps-2\/admin-ps\/registration\/parent-needs-to-add-a-new-student-to-his-her-account\/","title":{"rendered":"Parent Needs to Add a New Student to His\/Her Account"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"nolwrap\"><p>Parents can add new student&#8217;s to their existing PowerSchool accounts.&amp;nbsp; They do NOT need to create a new guardian account for each new student.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Before starting the process of adding a new student to your account be sure that you have these three things:\n<ol>\n<li>Student Name<\/li>\n<li>Student\u2019s Access ID<\/li>\n<li>Student\u2019s Access Password<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click on Account Preferences in the Navigation bar on the left side of the screen.<a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/add%20student%20to%20parent1.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-452\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/add%20student%20to%20parent1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"470\" height=\"584\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>There are two tabs to the Account Preferences page; Profile and Students. Click on the Students tab.<a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/add%20student%20to%20parent2.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-1\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/add%20student%20to%20parent2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"505\" height=\"158\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>The \u201cMy Students\u201d list on the Students tab will reflect your current students.<\/li>\n<li>Click the Add+ button on the on the far right side of the screen.<a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/add%20student%20to%20parent3b.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-2\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/add%20student%20to%20parent3b.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"133\" height=\"28\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>A box with the title \u201cAdd Student\u201d will pop up.
