The Data Dashboard page allows data to be aggregated and charts created based on the data set chosen. Once that data has been loaded, filters can be used to narrow the data set to further dig into the data.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"to-access-the-data-dashboard-page\">To access the Data Dashboard page<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to PowerSchool<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Data Dashboard<\/strong> on the left side<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"using-the-data-dashboard-page\">Using the Data Dashboard page<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure the term in the top right is set properly.\n<ul>\n<li>If grades are being used, be sure the correct semester is selected<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Fill out the necessary\u00a0parameters<\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Load Data<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Some data sets will take several minutes to load<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Once loaded, the data will appear below in the tabs.\n<ul>\n<li>The available tabs will adjust according to\u00a0the data set and whether it is run at a school or district<\/li>\n<li>Some common tabs will be Graphs, Tables, and Data\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Graphs<\/strong>\u00a0is a visual description of the data<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tables<\/strong> is\u00a0the data\u00a0in table form<\/li>\n<li><strong>Data<\/strong> is the raw data that can be downloaded<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you want data to more comparative, click the\u00a0<strong>Show Percentages<\/strong> checkbox<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/showPercentages.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3818\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/showPercentages-300x50.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"50\" srcset=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/showPercentages-300x50.png 300w, https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/showPercentages.png 623w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Checking this box will change all the data to percentages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"filters\">Filters<\/h2>\n<p>The\u00a0most powerful tool on the Data Dashboard page is the ability to filter. There are two types of filters, basic and advanced. A basic file will match the text in any field in the data set. An advanced filter allows the filter to be fine-tuned to match exactly what is needed.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"basic-filter\">Basic Filter<\/h3>\n<p>The basic filter can be found at the top of the\u00a0<strong>Filters<\/strong> box. Type in the text you want to filter and click\u00a0<strong>Filter<\/strong>. There are three basic types of data, number, text, and yes\/no. Each of these types have comparators specific to that type.\u00a0 Below are the comparators<\/p>\n<table style=\"height: 146px;\" width=\"669\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"68\">Type<\/td>\n<td width=\"68\">Comparator<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>text<\/td>\n<td>Contains,does not contain,equal,not equal,starts with, ends with<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Number<\/td>\n<td>&lt;=,&gt;=,=,&lt;,&gt;,#<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Yes\/No<\/td>\n<td>\u00a0=<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>To use an advanced filter, click on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/plus.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-2\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3820\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/plus.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"38\" height=\"29\" \/><\/a> to add a filter.\u00a0 \u00a0Multiple filters can be added at a time to fine-tune the selection. If you have multiple filters, all filters have to match in order to be included in the data set. Also if the field says comma separated, multiple\u00a0values can be entered with a comma separating\u00a0each value.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/AdvancedFilters.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-3\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-3823\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/AdvancedFilters-1024x382.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"269\" srcset=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/AdvancedFilters-1024x382.png 1024w, https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/AdvancedFilters-300x112.png 300w, https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/AdvancedFilters-768x286.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"tips\">Tips<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>When on the <strong>Graph\u00a0<\/strong>tab, clicking on a bar or the legend will add that filter in\u00a0<strong>Filters<\/strong> and automatically apply the filters.\n<ul>\n<li>If <span style=\"background-color: #f6d5d9;\">IEP\u00a0<\/span>grade 1\u00a0 bar is clicked, then the filter will be set to IEP = Yes and Grade=1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If there is a filter that is used often, click the <strong>Save Filter<\/strong> button.
