Using this tool, PowerSchool can either display the matches that it finds or create a new student selection for you based on the results of the search.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click <strong>Special Functions<\/strong> under Functions in the navigation menu<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Search by Grades\/Attendance<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Verify that your currently selected <strong>Term<\/strong>, in the upper-right, matches the time period that you want to search<\/li>\n<li>Choose your search settings (see below)<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Submit<\/strong> button<\/li>\n<li>When the search fininshes, PowerSchool will open the <strong>Group Functions<\/strong> menu and the number of students that the search found will be listed at the top.<\/li>\n<li>If you would like a report on these students, then <strong>List Students<\/strong>, <strong>Quick Export<\/strong>, and <strong>Exporting Using Template<\/strong> are all great options.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Searching Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The table below describes the search options:<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Title<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>Location on Page<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>(see screenshot below)<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>Description<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Which students to include<\/td>\n<td>b-First heading on the page<\/td>\n<td>You can choose to search against the entire school or a currently selected group of students<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\u00a0Term<\/td>\n<td>\u00a0a-Upper-right hand corner<\/td>\n<td>Choose any available from PowerSchool history.\u00a0 Your grade searches will only execute against the selected term<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\u00a0Minimum # of classes needed to meet search criteria<\/td>\n<td>c-Third heading on the page<\/td>\n<td>\u00a0Students will need to match your search criteria in this many courses before being included in the search results.\u00a0 Example: If you want a list of students with 3 failures, type a 3 here.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Type any number<\/li>\n<li>blank-treated as a 0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Scan for this final grade<\/td>\n<td>d-Forth heading on the page<\/td>\n<td>This option allows you to search for students with specific stored grade letters.\u00a0 To use this search option, first check its checkbox.<\/p>\n<p>There are two settings on this option:<\/p>\n<p>The first is a drop-down menu with the following choices:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Any =&#8221; Will search for students with any of the stored grades entered into the text box.\u00a0 This is the most commonly used choice.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;All =&#8221; Will search for students that received ALL of the different stored grades entered into the text box.\u00a0 Example: If you wanted students that had both 5s and 0s during the same term.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Any ?&#8221; Will search for students with stored grades that do not equal at least one of the values entered into the text box.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;All ?&#8221; Will search for students with stored grades that do not equal all of the values entered into the text box.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The second input is a textbox.\u00a0 Type the grade values to use in the search seperated by commas. Example: 0,1<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Scan for this final grade percentage<\/td>\n<td>e-Fifth heading on the page<\/td>\n<td>This option allows you to search for students with specific stored grade percentages.\u00a0 To use this search option, first check its checkbox.<\/p>\n<p>There are two settings on this option:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Choose less than (&lt;), equals (=), or greater than (&gt;) from the drop-down menu<\/li>\n<li>Type in a percentage.\u00a0 Use 90 either or .9 for 90%<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Scan for this citizenship grade<\/td>\n<td>f-Sixth heading on the page<\/td>\n<td>NOT used by Glenbard.\u00a0 Leave its checkbox unchecked.\u00a0 This option allows you to search against citizenship grades.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Scan for Attendance<\/td>\n<td>g-Sixth heading on the page<\/td>\n<td>This option allows you to search for students with specific attendance records.\u00a0 To use this search option, first check its checkbox.<\/p>\n<p>There are five settings on this option:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The 1st is a drop-down menu for the attendance mode; Meeting or Daily<\/li>\n<li>The 2nd is a drop-down menu with the attendance codes used in the search.
