Enabling Smart Search will generate a list of all names and PowerSchool fields that match what you are typing into the search bar.<\/p>\n<p>For example, if you type <strong>Ja<\/strong> into the students search bar, a drop-down menu will appear beneath the search bar with students with last names of <strong><em>Ja<\/em><\/strong>ckson, Jameson, etc.<br \/>\nTo enable Smart Search:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click <strong>Personalize<\/strong> from the navigation menu<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Interface<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click the checkbox marked <strong>Enable Smart Search<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Submit<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Note: Once Smart Search is enabled, the students that appear in the drop-down as yellow are active students, and the students that appear grey are inactive students.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/smartsearch.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-131\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/smartsearch.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"589\" height=\"491\" srcset=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/smartsearch.jpg 589w, https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/smartsearch-300x250.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 589px) 100vw, 589px\" \/><\/a><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Did you know that you can make searching PowerSchool easier?
