  1. District office technology will copy scheduling parameters, resources, and constraints from the prior year.<\/li>\n
  2. Scheduling Parameters must be reviewed by each building’s Data Specialist and adjusted if necessary.  These dictate the boundaries of the master schedule (days, terms, courses, etc).<\/li>\n
  3. Resources must be reviewed by each building’s Data Specialist and adjusted if necessary.  Resources include courses, students, rooms, and teachers.\n

    1. Course information that must be set includes max enrollment, close at max, whether the course should be used as lunch, etc.<\/li>\n
    2. Student information that must be set includes next year grade, next year school, etc.<\/li>\n
    3. Rooms information includes max seats, whether or not to schedule, and department use.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    4. Scheduling Constraints must be reviewed by each building’s Data Specialist and adjusted if necessary.  Constraints define many different relationships between courses, students, rooms, and teachers.<\/li>\n
    5. Counselors put in requests for students.<\/li>\n
    6. The Data Specialist validates the load, researches, and corrects errors.<\/li>\n
    7. When there are no errors, the Data Specialist runs the load and district office will import the results.  Individual adjustments to students and sections can still be made to acheive the most desired results.<\/li>\n
    8. When the schedule meets the needs to the building, it can be committed by the Data Specialist.  All students’ schedules and course sections will be copied to PowerSchool.  Adjustments to schedules and section can no longer be made in PowerScheduler.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
