{"id":117,"date":"2012-09-21T14:14:48","date_gmt":"2012-09-21T14:14:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psws.glenbard.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/21\/term-id-definitions\/"},"modified":"2016-02-05T10:24:39","modified_gmt":"2016-02-05T16:24:39","slug":"term-id-definitions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/ps-2\/admin-ps\/powerschool-tips\/term-id-definitions\/","title":{"rendered":"Term ID Definitions"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"nolwrap\"><p>This article discusses how termIDs are created and how to determine the exact ID of a year, semester, quarter, etc.<\/p>\n<p>TermIDs can be broken into 2 parts:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The hunderds which represent the year<\/li>\n<li>The ones represent the term<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Example: 2201 is broken down into 22 and 01.\u00a0 The 22 represents year 22 of PowerSchool and the 01 represents the first term of that year or Semester 1 for Glenbard.<br \/>\nYears:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1990 is year 0 and each year after is the following.\u00a0 1991 is year 1, 1992 is year 2, 2000 is year 10, 2010 is year 20, 2020 will be year 30, etc<\/li>\n<li>The term ID that represents an entire year is the year multiplied by 100.\u00a0 So, the term ID for 2010 is 20 x 100 or 2000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Semesters and Quarters and other smaller breakdowns<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Once you know the term ID for the year, the rest of the term IDs depened on how the district is breaking down the year (semesters, quarters, trimesters, something else)<\/li>\n<li>Each successive term adds 1 to the term ID.\u00a0 We start with the highest level terms and then move on to smaller breakdowns.<\/li>\n<li>Currently Glenbard uses both semesters and quarters so the break down works in the following manner:\n<ul>\n<li>Semester 1 is the 1st term of the year (example: S1 of 2012 = term id 2201)<\/li>\n<li>Semester 2 is the 2nd term of the year (example: S2 of 2012 = term id 2202)<\/li>\n<li>Quarter 1 is the 3rd term of the year (example: Q1 of 2012 = term id 2203)<\/li>\n<li>Quarter 2 is the 4th term of the year (example: Q2 of 2012 = term id 2204)<\/li>\n<li>Quarter 3 is the 5th term of the year (example: Q3 of 2012 = term id 2205)<\/li>\n<li>Quarter 4 is the 6th term of the year (example: Q4 of 2012 = term id 2206)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This article discusses how termIDs are created and how to [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[94],"tags":[192],"class_list":["post-117","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-powerschool-tips","tag-termid"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/117","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=117"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/117\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":1952,"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/117\/revisions\/1952"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=117"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=117"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=117"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
