{"id":1150,"date":"2014-08-12T16:01:27","date_gmt":"2014-08-12T16:01:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psws.glenbard.org\/index.php\/2014\/08\/12\/powerschoo-account-setup\/"},"modified":"2019-09-23T09:35:38","modified_gmt":"2019-09-23T14:35:38","slug":"powerschoo-account-setup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/index.php\/ps-2\/admin-ps\/general-admin-ps\/powerschoo-account-setup\/","title":{"rendered":"PowerSchool Security setup"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"nolwrap\"><p>To setup a staff member in PowerSchool please follow the directions below<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">When setting up a staff member, make sure one full day has passed after the staff member has been added to FirstClass. \u00a0This will help to insure that the account is ready for PowerSchool<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Create the staff member or search for the staff member<\/li>\n<li>Click on\u00a0<strong>Security Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Check <strong>Sign in to PowerTeacher<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">Click\u00a0<\/span><strong style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">LDAP Lookup<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Staff.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-1148\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Staff.png\" alt=\"Staff\" width=\"367\" height=\"182\" srcset=\"https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Staff.png 1148w, https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Staff-300x149.png 300w, https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Staff-768x381.png 768w, https:\/\/docs.glenbard.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Staff-1024x508.png 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 367px) 100vw, 367px\" \/><\/a><\/strong><strong style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\"><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A popup window will appear.\n<ol>\n<li>If it does not appear, make sure the browser is not blocking popups<\/li>\n<li>Also check to see if the popup open behind or underneath the current window<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Scroll to the bottom of the popup and check the box next to\u00a0<strong>Update Username for Teacher and Admin<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If this box does not appear, then there were no matches<\/li>\n<li>If it has not been a full day after the staff member has been entered into PowerSchool, they will not be found<\/li>\n<li>Check the staff members spelling.
